Magnepan LRS
The "Little Ribbon Speaker" — a full-range quasi-ribbon design built to give first-time listeners a genuine sense of what Magnepan's flagship models sound like, in a far smaller footprint.
Premium Planar Loudspeakers
Magnepan
A different approach to loudspeaker design. Planar and quasi-ribbon technology, handcrafted in America for more than five decades.
The Magnepan Difference
Exclusive distributors
of the country.
Magnepan has spent over five decades building planar and ribbon loudspeakers from its own plant in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, just outside the Twin Cities.
It started with founder Jim Winey's work on electrostatic speakers, which led him to develop the Magneplanar — a thin-film magnetic driver that moved speaker design away from a cone in a box.
More than 200,000 pairs later, the speakers are still built almost entirely from American-made parts, true to the company's own description of itself:
“Made in America. Sold in China.”

Magnepan
Magnepan .7i
02
Magnepan .7i
A compact two-way that carries the refinements first proven on the 3.7i and 1.7i down into a smaller, more room-friendly panel — without giving up the coherence the line is known for.
Magnepan 1.7i
03
Magnepan 1.7i
The benchmark of the range. Every driver — highs, mids and lows — uses quasi-ribbon technology, giving the 1.7i a top-to-bottom coherence that changed how a generation of listeners thought about planar speakers.
Magnepan 3.7i
04
Magnepan 3.7i
The flagship full-range ribbon design, built on Magnepan's "trickle-up" approach — ideas proven on the 1.7i, carried upward into a true ribbon driver for the most resolving rooms.
